Panum Building - University of Copenhagen


The Panum Building, part of the University of Copenhagen, is a major center for health and medical sciences. Originally designed by Eva and Nils Koppel and later expanded by C.F. Møller Architects, it houses a variety of research labs, lecture halls, and study spaces.


The Maersk Tower, an extension completed in 2016, adds state-of-the-art facilities including a large auditorium, flexible teaching spaces, and advanced labs. The building also features a sky bridge with panoramic views, a cafeteria, and a library, making it a hub for students and researchers alike.

Getting There:

By Foot:

If you're in central Copenhagen, you can easily walk to the Panum Building. From Nørreport Station, it’s about a 15-minute walk. Head north along Nørre Allé, then turn right onto Blegdamsvej.


By Bicycle:

Copenhagen is bike-friendly, and the Panum Building is equipped with bike racks. From Nørreport Station, it’s a 5-minute bike ride. You can also rent a bike from numerous rental stations across the city.


By Bus:

Several bus routes serve the Panum Building:

  • Bus 6A: Stops directly outside the Panum Building on Blegdamsvej.
  • Bus 42, 184, and 185: Stops on Tagensvej, a short walk from the building.Buses run frequently, and you can purchase tickets via the DOT Mobilbilletter app or at ticket machines at major stations.


By Metro:

  • M3 (City Circle Line): Get off at Trianglen Station; it's about a 7-minute walk to the Panum Building.
  • M1 or M2: Get off at Nørreport Station, then either walk or take a bus. Tickets can be purchased at metro stations via ticket machines or through the DOT Mobilbilletter app.


By Car:

If you’re driving, there are limited parking spaces available around the Panum Building. You can park in nearby public parking facilities or use street parking, which may require a parking fee. Make sure to check local parking rules.


By Taxi:

Taxis are readily available in Copenhagen, and you can book one through various apps like TAXA 4x35 or hail one from the street. The ride from central Copenhagen to the Panum Building typically takes around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.

The hotel has an underground car park, and Tivoli Gardens is a short distance from the hotel. Stay at the largest Scandic hotel in Denmark, Scandic Copenhagen, with a total of 18 floors. All 486 rooms have a contemporary design with either a city or country theme.

Ibsens Hotel is a cozy hotel in Copenhagen’s charming Nansensgade district, close to Nørreport Station and the city center. Cancellation policy:

Full cancellation and amendments of your accommodation must be e-mailed to the NFCM Congress Secretariat at NFCM2025@kongreskompagniet.dk


The hotels are booked on a first come, first served basis.
